Merry monday

The cherry Flossum is happening .. a little later than previous years but she is bigger and better than ever this year.. and this is just the start!
The neighbours who took a digger and a dump truck to their entire garden and flattened what was a maturing 30 year old garden are now removing all the earth to remove the concrete that once was a huge old dutch barn.  The soil had all been imported and laid on top of the concrete to save the cost of digging it up. This fellow has no need to curb his spending so the concrete is being removed.. and then a fine garden designer will play with the totally destroyed space to make a 'new' 'nice' garden.  For now I am not complaining as we have regained (mostly) the long distant view we had when we moved here.. before the yew hedge was put in .. More of that is being removed today and we can see for miles from our veg patch.. lovely. I don't suppose that it will be forever but it reminds me why we fell in love with the house all those years ago... and what we have lost over the years.
