One of the best gifts....

....I've ever been bought.

This Solo stove Claire bought me a couple of years ago is just brilliant, you can see the double burn happening around the edge in this picture.

The wood burns lower down, then the smoke that rises gets ignited again so there is pretty much no smoke going into the air.

I love a fire pit but hate ending up stinking of smoke, but it doesn't happen with these smokeless burners. They are quite expensive but worth every penny I'd say. Made from stainless steel they last a very long time too as well as always changing colour with the heat.

Anyway I was meant to be going out on my mountain bike but the day started off rather damp so I did some jobs in the garden.

I've started the big job of clearing the bottom area for the new shed/storage unit to be built. It's going to be big. I'm at the stage where I need to hire a skip to get rid of the old shed and masses of rubble and junk. I did burn pretty much everything I could and sorted a lot of stuff  today without the dismantling of the current shed.
