Feeling somewhat better, and armed with clear, coherent list of what to buy, M&I ventured to the garden centre. Returned with entirely different set of plants, some of which I've never seen or heard of before. Delightful excursion and so happy and grateful to feel well enough to get in the car, though long queue at checkout made me feel briefly woozy. 
Planting to take place, slowly & with rests, tomorrow.
