New Leaves

I walked into town this morning for a few things, then did some admin before meeting a friend for lunch. Later this afternoon I cleaned one of my two patios in the back garden. I looked for a blip in the garden and spotted the sun shining through some new leaves on my photinia red robin. It was quite chilly this morning, but nice outside this afternoon in the sun. 

Five years ago today it was the first day of lockdown. It already seems a bit surreal to remember what we went through and how many families suffered. I do wonder how many lessons were learnt though, as another global pandemic will happen again.
