Leith Theatre and Library

This B listed pair of civic buildings was designed in 1929, opened in 1929, bomb damaged during WW2 in 1941, and then repaired and reopened in 1955. The library on the right still operates, although it could use a little TLC, and the theatre has recently received grant money for a large restoration project.

I was glad to see a few people in the library this evening at 7pm, when I went in to pick up my reserved books.
