Foodie

I went on a brief but enjoyable trip to Edinburgh today, mainly to return an item of lost property (phone charger) to its rightful owner. She was grateful. 

We had a pleasant catch-up over a canteen lunch. 

Whilst in that part of the world, I popped into Valvona & Crolla to buy some of their amazing salsiccia... not the healthiest option for a chap with my cholesterol levels, but a couple of times a year must be ok. 

Please?

They had radicchio la rosa del Veneto in stock. I have never eaten it before. It looked great. I bought one. I made a salad out of it to compensate for the unhealthiness of the sausages. Delicious. 

I should have Blipped it because I do not see much pink lettuce on here. Maybe next time.  

On the way home - on the recommendation of the happy charger owner - I bought a couple of vegetable samosas from the wee coffee shop in the bus station. She is right. Probably home made and definitely superb. 

My Blip is the inside of Valvona & Crolla. If only Blip had a smell function...
