Selling America for parts

So there was a grand old tradition called the White House Easter egg roll, where kids were invited (for free) to the WH to look for Easter eggs. It often was an opportunity for groups of disadvantaged kids to meet the president and First Lady and spend a pretty special day together.

But hey ho, no longer! Now Dear Leader has invited companies to do some corporate sponsorship and endorsements during that occasion because, you know, you just can’t miss another opportunity for grifting. And the brain dead supporters are like “yeah, that’s my man! Earning every penny he can get his small hands on…” The depth of depravity is just incalculable.

And this is just a small example of how various bits and pieces of institutions are being sold for parts. We knew Peter Thiel is a venture capitalist: he sure has put his imprint on how business is done nowadays…
