Sally Mair - Loving life

Prize night

I spent far too long last night and this morning trying to sort out a PayPal payment which had frozen without completing the purchase. Nice helpful people at both the website and at PayPal.. all sorted eventually, Cleo will have food after all
I drove Colin into town to sign some papers for the sale of his mum's flat which is finally going through on Friday (fingers crossed) the last sale fell through the day before completion.
He's going up on Wednesday to help his sister clear the last things out of the flat. Hard for him.
I met Mike for lunch in the cafe at Meggetland today. It was a very pleasant place to sit, have lunch and catch up on all the news.
From there I headed home via M&S where I picked up some food for a bring and share buffet supper at bridge this evening. We normally go to the Royal Burgess for our meal, but their kitchen service is limited while being refurbished so that couldn't happen this evening.
The buffet was good, far too much food as usual though!
Bridge afterwards was fun, you draw a name out of a hat as your partner for the evening. Strangely enough Colin and I drew another couple as our partners, Colin with C and me with T. We were in direct competition with each other, playing in the same positions. There was much rivalry and to my surprise and delight (and T's) we came top while Colin and his partner were 4th. There was much celebrating and laughter. My prize was the Easter egg I've blipped, the orchid was a gift to say thank you for running the bridge evenings over the year. A very welcome gift.
