Any guesses?

I am thinking this is going to be easy for you to guess what it is.

Maggy and I visited the hospital today.   It was a day of connections (59, I got it out today!). At first a woman stopped me and said I must know R.  Yes said I, he bred Maggy here.  You look like M she said.  M was R's first wife.  I don't think I look like her at all whereas T, his wife and I could be sisters.  I won't be telling T about the comment.  I am always being mistaken for T at the hospital as R visits there with Abby and is well known.
The next was the librarian at my former work who I saw as I was walking past the cafeteria.  She retired years ago.  It was hard to catch up with her because a little boy kept coming over for a pat and I was distracted.  The last was someone who was visiting her father.   She knew L who was a Midwife at the hospital but also did therapy dog volunteering.  She (L) passed away 7 years ago and Abby (keep up) was one of her dogs that she gave to T and R when she died.  We met a patient who had fallen off a ladder a few days ago who used to do dog sledding with his huskies.  He told me to go to Mt Buller where I could get a sled and dogs on my own.   You know, I think I would love to do that.
