Spoonbill Staredown
I noted the spoonbills were gathered around the water edge when I drove out to L & M's this morning. I made a note to return later if they were still there so when I saw they were a little later, I hopped on my bike and headed off this evening to try to capture them on high tide (closer to shore) and on sunset. Sadly it was a pretty low high tide so no closeups of these curious creatures, and they'd decided to park themselves just a wee bit too far away. On the plus side, the sunset was nice (see extra).
I'd been going to L & M's to do a final vacuum run for them. Arrived to a very relaxed R who was overseeing the packing then after a good chat started on my main job. Just about finished the first bedroom upstairs when my vacuum had a 'blow-out.......I think I asked the extension tube to extend just one stair too far! So that was the end of my vacuuming for today - I headed home and set about trying to find a replacement tube. Fortunately I've tracked one down but won't get it for a couple of days. In the meantime though, I've come up with a solution that makes everything workable so it'll be back to the vacuuming tomorrow after a ride in the morning with J.
Also managed to squeeze in a little more of the wood stacking - I really am dragging that job out!!
