Wind pipes.....

Met up with 2 lovely ladies through from the Weeg for lunch, drinks and chat before they scuttled off to some shows.

In the evening we went to a great performance, part of the Edinburgh Art Festival, which took place in Trinity Apse, a 15th C Kirk. Artist, Sarah Kenchington has made an enormous instrument out of decommissioned organ pipes, all colour coded for ease of use.

The performance we saw was in 3 parts, with different groups of musicians collaborating to make some truly amazing music in the Kirk. Performing were members of eagleowl, Wounded Knee, Meursault and Broken Record, among others.

It's open to the public daily to go and see, and, of course, have a go at the bellows and playing the pipes. Well worth a visit.
