Geared Up

Off we went to conquer fuji, with all our best climbing gear (admittedly not much) and the feeling that we were climbing a serious mountain. Arriving at the trailhead, we were greeted by a hundred students in novelty onesies (you'll know these if you were a student recently, if not think a felt bodysuit, usually imitating an animal or cartoon character). This made us feel like we were over-preparing somewhat, although we did leave them behind once the climb started. Fuji is a slog. Not as much as the last time I did it (from the bottom), but nevertheless a slog. The race was on for sunrise...
