Hellebores

For some reason, I took these most beautiful hellebores out of the main garden and put 6 down the back. They look gorgeous there, but I don't see enough of them. I picked a few fallen stems. I had read that you need to slit the stems and put them in the fridge to make the heads stand up and stop them drooping. It isn't working.

It's been a glorious day, and I spent most of the afternoon digging, fertilising, and adding the home-made compost to the beds at the allotment. I'm shattered. My head is drooping, too. However, as Richard O'brien says, 'Start the fans!' I'm ready for another successful growing season.
