. . . and their shadows

Such a lovely day - lots of light. In the late afternoon sunshine there were shadows everywhere. I saw the shadows of these two flower holders that hang on the wall at the bottom of the stairs and had to record the image.

They are from Provence, bought in Bonnieux many years ago from a wonderful potter who lived and worked below the village. We have lots of her work dotted around the house, but I like these best of all. Possibly because they have always had lavender in them.

(It might have been a good idea to get rid of the cobwebs before I took the photo!)
