Snake's head fritillary

All of a sudden, all kinds of flowers are bursting out in my garden that I swear were nowhere to be seen a few days ago. Here’s a snake’s head fritillary, which I thought was lost, but now is found, which makes me very happy.

Something else has made me very happy today. I’ve been doing some research on a new (to me) piece of crafting equipment – which probably tells you that I’m starting to feel a bit more like my old self! – and once I’d finished my research I put in a proposal to the finance department. The Chief Finance Officer took no time at all to approve the expenditure, even going so far as to suggest that I should order some additional supplies for the new machine while I was putting in the order.

Thus this happy bunny is dancing around the house, eagerly awaiting delivery of a machine which will enable me to hot foil directly on to card – something I’ve only been able to dream of hitherto, because up until now I’ve been foiling on to paper through a laminating machine and then sticking the foiled paper on to card, then die cutting it. Did you follow that? Never mind, it doesn’t matter! Just watch this space …
