Sticky buds

The sticky buds of the horse chestnut tree always remind me of O Level Biology!!
Having to draw the various stages of the buds opening.
Once the buds start opening they seem to unfurl and flower so quickly!
This tree is growing in a large tub as I grew it from a conker!!!
It started life many years ago and is now too big and heavy to move.
