A helping hand...

Our friend Phyllis is visiting, and we were wandering around the garden chatting when Janet pointed me at this large bumblebee, looking totally exhausted. As I looked it actually fell to the ground, and I helped it up and we fed it some dilute sugar water in the palm of my hand and then I helped it to the viburnum in the back garden. Was it the right thing, to intervene? Who knows... it's a mystery. ;-)  (s)he looks happy enough in the extra...
