Desperate Housewife
I called into the art gallery at the Council offices today when I saw there was a SALA exhibition on there (South Australian Living Artists' Festival) and the artist is JoJo Spook. There was some beautiful work. I am not getting fine definition with the mobile camera unless the lighting is perfect. However, I could not (because of the direct light and excessive amounts of shadow) photograph enough detail to show you my favourite piece that was a full standing sculpture anybody would surely love for their home garden.
It was a stand-out (the one that got away truly). The curator told me in answer to my expressed appreciation someone walked through the door of the gallery and said as they entered, "I'll buy that one".
The one I show you here is not a second choice or a last. I was enraptured by my favourite piece. I feel uplifted by having had opportunity to view it. This only shows (for my part here) the meticulous and multi-media skills JoJo brings to her table to create impressions of our world.
Our world or the artist's world? There is our question.
However, without art we are nothing as a culture (even as we are pointless without one another).
here is a sculture by JoJo
JoJo Spook can do anything that needs application and an eye for meticulous detail
