Baking and litter picking
Went for a run first thing. Ideal temperature for me and we did further than I thought. Had a quick shower and breakfast and then joined a litter pick as part of the big tidy up weekend. We tackled a roundabout and a verge that was covered with cans, bottles and take away debris. It is one of the main roads that leads into Reading and is obviously a favourite place to chuck your rubbish out of your car window. We made a huge difference and it looked so much nicer afterwards. You could actually see the violets, grape hyacinths, celandine and odd daffodil that were in bloom despite the layer of litter. It won't last!
Came back for lunch and then started baking ready for our charity cake sale on Tuesday. I made vegan lemon and poppy seed cake and malteser tray bake. The cakes turned out nicely though I didn't have matching loaf tins and was a bit worried one was going to overflow as it rose.
Watched Adolescence with the family in the evening and made more crochet succulent leaves.
