The weather started off mild, but it got colder during the day.

II got a new work laptop today. The powers that be decided that because my previous one was one of the oldest in the firm I was next on the list for a new one. Most data seem to have survived the transition, but things are not where they used to be. I used the opportunity to get rid of documents from previous roles. It was not easy to press the delete button as it seemed like a full stop on my legal career. I did renew my non-practising membership last month, so perhaps only a dash and not a full stop.

C phoned Anglian Water re the 32.6% increase in our water bill. Our suspicions that we are punished for not having a meter were strengthened. They will now send someone out to confirm that we cannot get a meter due to us and the neighbours sharing the pipe work and then adjust the bill to being billed as if we are on a meter, even though we are not. Will have to wait for the outcome.
