Failed again…
I mustn’t get used to this back-blipping thing , but I was in no fit state to do anything by bedtime - more or less literally.
The day began with cheering blue sky and sunshine, which sadly didn’t last long as a band of grey came through from the north. I did, however, get a washing done and out on the line while it was still sunny, so it came in in the early afternoon all dry and fresh-air scented. That gesture towards housewifelyness over, I retreated to the study to work on the Intercessions for this Sunday and a sermon for the following week as my planned week leaves no gaps for such thoughtful activity.
When Himself announced that he was going out to the Health Store (oh that one could actually buy health there!) I took the chance of some fresh air and joined him on a slightly circuitous route that took us down to the seaside first, and lingered chatting in the shop while he went on home. I took the above rather dreary photo on my way home, showing the other end of our crescent and the hills above the church. I love the way the bare hills cradle the town - yet again we’re being threatened with huge multinational companies wanting to plant massive wind turbines on them.
After that the day went downhill - or rather I did. By evening I knew I’d not make it to choir as the ache in my legs spread to my shoulders and I felt I didn’t know where to put myself. This then progressed to another trying symptom and I went to bed - no blip, no diary - not even a shower. At least three of my friends have the same, though I don’t (yet) seem to have the cough …
Fingers crossed.
