Birchwood Park
M the decorator continued today - and job completed by the end of the afternoon, it looks really good.
Yesterday, and again today, I have been going through the submissions for the annual awards. It’s time consuming. The website crashed late morning, which left me with no option but to head out for a walk in the sunshine. I took my usual circuit to the Business Park and back. Lunchtime meant that there were plenty of workers enjoying the sunshine.
The Park is well landscaped, and has a lot of open space. As I was photographing these daffodils (the backdrop is Cavendish Nuclear, to the left are the Park beehives) I heard the loud calls of oystercatchers behind me. Two birds were mobbing a sparrowhawk. They - and little ringed plovers - breed in the Park, on an area covered in hardcore awaiting future development. To the birds, it’s a stony beach.
Heading home I got my first butterfly photo of the year, a brimstone taking nectar from a dandelion (extra).
And …… yesterday’s image. The top of a Mirka dust extractor. M attaches his sander to it, and the dust is sucked through the sanding gauze into the bowels of the machine.
