Serendipity

Uncle David.

The first of my dad's siblings that reached older age to go. One died young and the rest, until Uncle David, remain.

Dad is third eldest. The youngest has just turned seventy. He would never have known Uncle David as a boy in the first picture on the order of service.

There's eight of them, or at least I think there are? I loose count. I certainly loose count when it comes to cousins!

It was a good day, a celebration of a very clever and thoughtful man. It was a non-religious ceremony, as he would have wanted.

There was the usual coming together in the pub afterwards.

I drove my parents down there and back.
