Madrid. Airport

We've been planning this holiday for over a year and it feels like it, so it feels weird that it is actually happening, time flies!

We were up at 7am and I took Ms H to the station to go to work. She is joining us later during the school holidays, so she is picking the car up from the airport where we would be leaving it.

So first hop, Edinburgh to Heathrow, after a free breakfast in an airport lounge. We arrived earlier than scheduled, but then our next hop left late...  and here we are in Madrid. Had we arrived earlier, we'd have got an earlier hotel shuttle, but instead it was 7pm-8pm siesta time for the driver! That meant our plans to head into the city for dinner were scuppered, so instead we ate in the hotel restaurant which is beside the airport. Never mind, it was a nice meal and we are tired anyway.

Next hop... skip... and a leap tomorrow.
