Carol's ramblings

Hump day

The day of the week I get time to myself - hubby goes off to trains and until 3:00 (school pick-up) the time is mine.

After a leisurely breakfast, started watching Adolescence (Netflix) whilst working on my Menopause scarf crochet project. [Adolescence -   “A family's world turns upside down when 13-year-old Jamie Miller is arrested for murdering a schoolmate. The charges against their son force them to confront every parent's worst nightmare.” ]
Stopped for lunch but managed to watch all but 20 mins of the series.  A hard watch but very good.

Boys came out of school happy, sun was shining and they were all smiles.  Took them home after their tea.

Hubby took me to crochet, which I thought was the last one, but we can meet again next week to finish off.  We have all enjoyed our “Wednesday evenings”.  There are 6 of us at the table I sit at, from all walks of life, we (as creatures of habit) sit in the same places, discuss a variety of topics (such as: school education system and SEN children or crochet projects).  A while since I’ve been one of the oldest of a group …..  we meet in a cafe, so cakes and coffee to purchase.  Tonight, to thank hubby, I got him a slice of lime, pistachio and courgette cake - very tasty.
