Half way

No one I could ask to look after Mum & the dog, so took as many precautions as I could not to pass on the dreaded norovirus.
Firstly, 3 loads of washing on higher temps than normal, done and on the line. Windows wide open. Disinfectant, bleach etc. for the bathroom, followed by anything I had/ might of touched, including mobile phone, banisters. Then showered. Ate a normal breakfast of probiotic yogurt, poached fruit, & granola with a black coffee. Rang Paignton hospital to cancel J's appointment. Rang G & J to say I would'nt be able to garden this week.
Drove to CK. Masked & gloved. Sorted the chaos then gave Mum breakfast.
Walked Indie at a leisurely pace as stamina levels a bit low. Ready to sit on a tree stump, enjoy the glorious sunshine & birdsong. Fabulous!
Sat outside with Mum drinking coffee, chatting about the spring flowers that are giving Mum so much pleasure. Spring tubs of happiness.
Made Mum's lunch. Got a new colouring in book from the secret stash which got the thumbs up.
Left Mum after eating her lunch.
Back home. Lunch then picked in the washing. Remade the bed. I love getting into fresh bed linen.
J rang from the hospital. OT were going to call me to discuss J's mobility needs. A very nice chap rang, we discussed walking frames/four wheeled walker, fall alarm, plus help for J when showering twice a week. Now have to convince J it's the way to go, he could be home tomorrow. Now awaiting call from Dr to discuss results of J's CT & MRI Scans.
I then decided to strip down the carpet cleaner. The dirty water reservoir perspex interior is dirty. Of course that is the only part of the machine that does'nt come apart, so, initially with a nail file & wet J cloth I made good progress, but needed something longer to get in the nooks & crannies. A length of wire from my jewellery making stash did the job. Then it was time for The Chase & a glass of water... Yes, you read that correctly... WATER. :-)
A couple of poached Silly Cow eggs on toasted sourdough for supper.
Watched Michael Portillo in Switzerland. Their transport system is very impressive, & effective. Lucky Swiss!
