Into Leeds this morning to meet Tom for lunch at Friends of Ham, which seems to have become our venue of choice. We shared a seasonal board - two cheeses and two meats together with sourdough and other goodies - and an extra of smoked almonds, which were off the scale of deliciousness! Wine, dessert, and coffee too, after which we lingered for a while before walking through Leeds to a couple of well known department stores.

I had good intentions not to spend at all, but bought a white blouse (in my defence, I have been looking for one for a while) in one shop, and a new non-stick (hopefully!) frying pan in the other. Tom also bought some things for his kitchen.

All too soon, we parted to catch our trains home. Always good to spend time with Tom.
Unfortunately, buses from Holmfirth don't tie in with trains to Leeds or vice versa, so I spent ages waiting around on the journeys there and back. C'est la vie...
