Road works

I spent the morning making bread and trying to find a new insurer for our UK house. As it is currently unoccupied between lets, the previous insurer said they could no longer insure it. It was difficult to find a new insurer specifically because I am a French resident. However, in the end, I found a company. The new pavements in the High Street have now been completed. The road has been blocked for two weeks which has caused us some difficulties accessing our normal parking space. The old pavements were too narrow for pushchairs and prams and the local marble with which they were made was quite slippy in the wet. The new red tarmac ones look quite smart.
