Springing

Beautiful spring-like day today :)  I sat out in the garden for ten minutes or so before breakfast, soaking up the morning sun - lovely!  Tim had a lovely sunny walk to the Torrs, too, and ended up having a nice chat with a couple of teenage lads up there.  So many people are just so friendly here!

We had a carpet fitter come to give us a quote for carpeting the bedroom, and the stairs and hall.  Nice chap, and the quote seemed reasonable.  We even picked the carpet we like.  Not quite sure yet when we'll get him booked in, but good to know we can when we're ready.

I had lunch after that, and sat outside again to eat it (and Tim joined me with a cup of coffee).  Then back to work - I chaired the first meeting of our staff wellbeing group, which went well.  Lots of discussion about the new hybrid working arrangements that have been announced recently (aka enforced return to the office).  

I popped out again in the evening to post my Mum's Mother's Day card, and added in a very quick walk to the Cairn.  Found a different way into it, from the Barnstaple track - bit brambly, but fun to explore a new route.

Tim cooked us a delicious beany chilli in the evening, and we had a relaxing evening in front of the telly.
