The Offices
I've been very fortunate, since 1988 to have worked in a village environment, with countryside close by, for a fantastic council. While I initially retired in 2017, I went back in 2020 to help out with the pandemic and almost 5 years later, I was still helping out with various tasks, a couple of days per week.
While this may not be my last day in the office, it does mark the end of the current arrangement I made with my manager. If I do any more work for the council it will be on an ad hoc basis. I arrived at 6:30 am to this beautiful light on the building. I got what I needed done early and left, not wanting to inflict my hacking cough on other workers, then carried out a few visits before getting home. Other than a report to be drafted that will be my time done.
It was a beautiful day here in the Midlands, and it looks as though after a small blip the coming days will continue the trend.
