Stumped

OK, it's not the stump but what was once attached to the stump. I came across this when I went for a walk after dropping some papers off for my wife to a colleague in Horsell. This was in a small patch of woodland behind the Bowls Club which I didn't know was there. The only other event of note today, apart from receiving a 'courtesy car' in exchange for my car which has gone off for some bodywork repairs, was having a manicure and pedicure at the Nova Spa in Chobham. This was a birthday present from my daughters and I found it very relaxing. I was tempted to post a photo of my newly trimmed feet but didn't think blipworld was ready for that!
