Monarch...

……………………..……….....….Butterfly


This beautiful monarch butterfly was hovering around a clump of swan plants while enjoying the morning sunshine. 

Seen here she is sitting on developing seedpods, happily just resting each time she landed.

Looking at her faded and well worn wings I suspect she is nearing the end of her life span - see  the main blip and also the tryptic in extras.



Autumn sunshine and warm summer temperatures continue as we get to enjoy an Indian summer.
