Cranes
Exercise class first thing; warm enough to have the studio door open and for me to wear shorts to class. Spits of rain on the way back, but no heavy rain until early evening. 15C high and very strong gusts of wind.
Down to the harbour in the afternoon; I was looking for a picture of Nome, the big motor yacht that's been at the Brittania dock for some days; did take a picture but there wasn't a clear view of it, and going into Ocean Terminal wouldn't have helped much.
There was a power cut affecting the terminal; we walked round to the Distillery, but it had no power either. Still haven't managed to go up in that building; could smell the mash from the corner of the dock. Boka Polaris has been in the harbour for several weeks - it's a diving support vessel, with berths for 100+ people, two moonpools, big helideck, 3 cranes .. presumably waiting for the next job.
Walked further along the tram line to the end of Victoria bridge; the female swan was tidying up bits of small sticks from the water around her nest, which has at least 4 eggs now. To the Port of Leith tram stop, and back in by tram, before the rain came on.
Noticing the issue with maps has been fixed - credit to the blipfoto team. Hoping we hear what changed ..
