Up on the roof

Absurd day.
Viewing done, it’s time for the verdicts.

The two other women jurors and I went out to do a bit of shopping and ended up in a lovely little make up shop where we tried things on and bought a present for Eva, our shepherdess who gets us everywhere.  The sun shone and the weather was glorious.   We got back to the hotel to change, (can you dress chic?) for photos up on the roof of the opera.  We had hair and make up first so looked pretty presentable.  Our young actor from the jury, Karlis from Latvia got a call that he is down to the final three for a huge role so he became very anxious.   He’d got back to the hotel at nearly 5am last night so wasn’t feeling his best but we all encouraged him and were happy for him.

Then the deliberation lunch.  It was relatively ok, we wanted to acknowledge all the shows we’d admired but had to find the right things to say.  I think we got there!

Then some time to walk around until the jury dinner, again up on a rooftop bar but this time it was freezing so we huddled inside.   We went off to the after party at Artchives again and this time it had been taken over by a big french agency (Call My Agent!) and they were all doing Karaoke.  I spent a long time talking to a German actor.
