Blossoms

Last night we finally sat down to start watching Adolescence on Netflix, which many of you have already seen. I thought it was brilliant, and the type of necessary viewing that all parents of adolescents should be watching. We watched the first 3 episodes and will watch the fourth and final one tonight.

A few weeks ago when I played golf for the first time this year, as I got onto the golf course I started sneezing and my eyes began to itch - and now as the blossoms have now come out, my hay fever has got worse. It's a new thing for me, I never had it about 6 years ago but nowadays when I wake up, as I open my eyes I sneeze! I had to resort to taking an anti-histamine today (thankfully I found one brand that is gluten and lactose free as so many contain lactose). I hate taking any form of medication at all, so I hope I do not have to take one every day.

For us in the northern hemisphere, particularly in the UK, we are spoilt for choice for Flower Friday as everything is flowering at the moment. I took photos of my daffodils and tulips in the garden, cherry blossoms, hyacinth...but decided on this image of the white cherry blossoms.

When the cherry blossoms first came out on our tree in the garden, I noticed that there were already some blossoms lying on the ground and I could not understand why that was the case as it had not been windy. Today that mystery was solved - the ring necked parakeets were sitting on our tree, I think they were eating the buds and in doing so pulling the flowers off and dropping them on the ground.

It was meant to rain today but we have had sunshine all day and it has been another lovely day. More of the same please.
