Duke Street, Chelmsford

After a morning that included walking the woofer, I spent the entire afternoon of this mostly sunny day in and around the High Street accomplishing (or not) several purchasing objectives. I also took several photos - reminding myself that, even with the 'modernization' of the early seventies, that many argue ripped the heart out of the town, there are still many older buildings of interest in the city centre. Victorian, Georgian and some even older than that are potentially a good subject for an urban landscape sketch - my latest hobby.

Home just in time for bro who called for a late afternoon cuppa and then we went to the Gardeners for Friday Fish'n'chips and a couple of pints of Green King IPA. The rest of my evening is 'Death In Paradise' Series 3 on iPlayer, sketching, and processing some of the things that Gareth and I discussed in the pub.
