Always good to be surprised when a magazine pops through the door.It is worth keeping memberships of clubs even though I dont attend meetings now. The articles are written by members with illustrations of postcards. The most interesting here is "Nansens Arctic Drift" 1893-96 with eight rare cards of his ship "Fram" on the voyage.
The pistol shown was given to another article writer aged 12 by a lady in Carmunnock fully loaded !! It belonged to her husband who died 1923 and used it to shoot rabbits for food.
