Footstool...

This is the footstool I upholstered for my Goddaughter Sophie's birthday. She painted her bedroom herself (she's 8) so I wanted to make her something that fit in with her theme. She loves it so I feel that I did a good job.

In other news, I've been involved with the Pathways scheme through the Scottish Borders Chamber of Commerce and they awarded me a grant so I've been able to buy an industrial sewing machine with a view to getting my upholstery business started. Footstools are definitely my thing so whilst I'm still doing chairs (I have a queue a mile long) in my workshop, I'm planning to concentrate on footstools.
