Hammam and shopping

Today I was knackered in the morning.
Had to skip the RTS practice.
Went for breakfast at 9 and we had a sword practice on the roof at 11am

Trish, Kat and I went next door to Bendir for lunch.
There was meat!!
Kat and I both had this amazing beef dish -Tanjia. Plus a detox juice.
It was wonderful.
We were late for our Hammam experience because the food took time. But we made it in time.
It was just the 3 of us.
We put our paper knickers on and were put into a dark warm room to shower and get scrubbed.
It was quite lovely.
At some point when we were alone we started chanting to check the acoustics. It sounded amazing.
Trish left before us and Kat and I bought some rose oil then looked for a coffee place.
We went on a gorgeous roof top and had coffee and a vape.
When we went down again we saw the other girls walking in … they just came from the Hammam and we accidentally had chosen the cafe next to their hidden entrance to their Riad.

We had a quick visit and did a meat plot.
Actually there were only 2 pure vegetarians!!
Tam and Trudi. The rest of us was craving meat and protein.
Leonor started to ask for a meat option and we all came in.
Poor Trudi and Tam.
But I wasn’t prepared to pay 30 bucks for another meal of couscous and overcooked courgettes.
Kat and I went for a wander and  she got an amazing leather bag.
I got a small green one with pearls for 150 Dirham.
Then I got some belts from Ali.
Plus 2 as a gift.
Then we went to the Berber apothecary at the basket square and got a lovely lovely Berber tea there.
And bought all sorts of stuff.
Then back home.
We were determined to find more meat.
We did feel great after the lunch and I am truly realising how much my body is missing fuel.
No protein. Just starch. That cannot work.

We followed Abdul’s recommendation and went back to the square and to bank street to get some cash.
Then we went to the restaurant. Which was busy and they even had alcohol there ! Which felt so weird!!!!

We both went for the mixed grill and shared salads. It was a gorgeous meal.
We did not go for alcohol. And had more delicious detox juices.

Back home we had a tea in the dining room then fell to bed. It was late.
