Thanks to surface tension, but what lies beneath?

All this in a small series of well maintained  ponds in the open gardens of the Oasis of Capistrano, which is a delightful walk after a severe off-road climb from the NE end of  Playa Burriana.  See down view in extras.

Out tonight to a "Tabanco" being a bodega where the community would traditionally meet to enjoy company, vino and, most importantly, flamenco.
Tabancos are more common / popular in Jerez de la Frontera, where we were a few of years ago.
