Mr and Mrs Greenfinch

The weather forecast promised rain for today in southern Germany, while the north would get a view of the partial eclipse of the sun. But we live in the middle, and got neither. It was cloudy but dry until the end of the eclipse, and then sunny (but with a chilly breeze) all afternoon.

It’s still very dry, so I filled up our little birdbath this morning. I saw that the bird feeders were empty, too, and filled them as well. One hour later, this one was half empty again, with these two happily munching away at the sunflower seeds.I hope they found a nice home in a nearby hedge.
