Shapes on bark

Noticed these nice shapes and moss on a tree, as I walked my dog around the campsite we're staying at today.... Strathclyde Country Park, just outside Glasgow.

I've looked it up with Google lens and I think it's probably a White Poplar. The Woodland Trust gives this description of its bark:
'The bark is pale grey with lines of black diamond-shaped pores, called lenticels.'

There's another example of some of this bark in my extras. It was just next door to the other tree. I might be wrong but I don't think I see this species of tree growing where we live.

We've been on a little tour of Scotland (and Cumbria) for the last week....visiting different daughters in Dundee and then Edinburgh. Tomorrow we're going to visit our youngest daughter, who's studying at Strathclyde Uni. Hoping to take her to the Burrell Collection :) and Pollok Park too, if we have time!

A couple of extra extras, to show our dog enjoying being on the sofa in our caravan. It's nice for her as she gets a good view and at home we don't let her go on the sofa.

If I get round to it I'm hoping to back blip one or two days from this last week.
