Belfast Blipmeet
with the most gracious, relaxed and interesting blipper Cygnus. We went to the fab MAC Gallery in Belfast to see this..

A well curated exhibition which included the large colourful blousy work of Ted Pim; the unusual mono work of Gavin O’Curry (my main blip), Tracey Emin, Jo Spence, Rachel Ruttsch and Mary Delany (among others). The main thrust was how flowers are portrayed in art. I loved it.
Cygnus and I hit it off immediately and chatted about art, our lives and our interests. We ate tasty food afterwards in the restaurant and then set about drawing/painting a wee miniature of our experience. My last extra is her take on a Robert Maplethorp still life of flower. She did a great job. Well done Cygnus.
I am just home now and eating a big plate of shepherds pie and my crunchy celery, cucumber and apple salad (made with olive oil and lime juice).

I’ve had a lovely day. Belfast is a great city to visit. It has a unique vibe and full of friendly no-nonsense people. Good people def. I’ve had a lovely wee day.
Exhausted now but today has made me want to paint/draw even more.
