Other Side of the Lens
Georges-Patrick Gleize is a French writer whom I meet regularly at various book salons around the country. His books are moderately successful, but he is best known for the photographs he takes of other writers. He's been doing it for years, and has an unrivalled collection of portraits of French writers over the last 20 years or more - oh, and including me! He recently had an exhibition of some of those photos, which was a fascinating glimpse of the personalities that comprise the French literary scene. I thought it was time to catch him on the other side of the lens. A face worth capturing, I think you'll agree.
