Cup Winners

2 weeks ago, I was hoarse and emotional and lucky to have been at Wembley to see Newcastle United win their first domestic trophy in 70 years. My grandad had seen the last Newcastle domestic cup win in 1955, when ‘The Black and Whites’ had beaten Manchester City and won the FA Cup. There’s symmetry for you!


Today, thousands upon thousands of us stood at the roadsides of our great city and cheered and sang to our footballing heroes.
