Arctic circle adventure

King and queen of Trondheim . Well, for all if the 5 minutes it took for a stranger to take the shot of us using Mr G' s camera . We are very trusting aren't we. Giving a very expensive camera to strangers!
Today was spent in the Nidaros cathedral and archbishops palace and crown regalia and war museums. All in the same area and on the same ticket. Surprised how long we actually spent in there.
I had not realised til now that during WW2 Norway was an occupied country and many of its citizens formed a Nazi movement and were collaborators with the Germans. After the war many were tried and executed as traitors.

It is also nice to go into a cafe and say I am gluten free and a freshly made sandwich is produced as well as a naughty but nice cake.
The rest of the day was spent just wandering about the town which is a mix of old and new which sit happily beside each other.
Like many dock side area in the UK this one town has converted many disused warehouse into apartments, hotels, restaurants and general recreation areas. The harbours are now full of little pleasure boats instead of great big cargo ships.

Early night again as we are travelling all day tomorrow and are starting earlyish
