Beatrix Potter #3

After finding Mrs Tiggy-Winkle and Squirrel Nutkin this week I didn't expect Peter Rabbit to come marching into the garden at tea-time. Bold as could be he came down the path and through the garden gate.

"First he ate some lettuces and some French beans; and then he ate some radishes."
No doubt Mr. McGregor, AKA The Man, would be hell-bent on keeping him off the vegetable patch, if we had one!

What we do have, just like Beatrix Potter's illustration is a spade handle sticking up in this part of the garden for a robin to sit on. Hers has a robin on it, ours never does!

Before Peter had a chance to look for something nice for his tea he was frightened away by Mrs McGregor waving a camera about.

Time for some chamomile tea, I think.
