This beautifully restored 1956 BSA DBD 500cc Gold Star turned up at Llandow this morning, what a motorcycle. It sounded wonderful with its twittering exhaust system. The gearbox is the famous RRT2 close ratio fitment, plus there is a host of upgrades to its engine. The owner said its such an easy starter but in first gear you are slipping the clutch to about 50 miles an hour.
