Wee stars reaching for the sun

I first discovered three patches of wood anemone in the oakwood during the pandemic. Although I didn't know what they were at the time, they lifted my mood. And of course they did the same today. 
    There has been a glut of football on the telly box this weekend. In under an hour I will tune into BBC Alba to watch my club, Queen's Park facing LIvingston in something called the SPFL Trust Trophy. It's what cruel and heartless folk would call, "the diddy wee team's cup." In the run up to this we sacked our more than capable head coach, the one who recently plotted the defeat of the mighty Rangers. Football is a funny game.
