Mother’s Day
Happy Mother’s Day to all who celebrate it in our part of the world this Sunday.
Thinking of those who have no mother.
Those who are no longer a mother.
Those who are estranged from being a mother.
Those who desperately want or wanted to be a mother.
Those who do the mothering but don’t bear the title.
I don’t need a special day to know my children love me, they do that day in day out. ( l imagine lots of mums feel the same).
Tim took me out for a meal when he came to stay last week.
Rebecca took me out for coffee and cake today.
Have to laugh in how different their gifts are to me ( they really are like chalk and cheese).
From Rebecca:Yellow roses and the latest Nancy Birtwhistle book ( Green and Easy Kitchen). I am a big fan of hers.
From Tim: a huge jar of Tumeric, ginger and black pepper capsules and an ice ball - both to ease my plantar fasciitis.
As l said chalk and cheese.
